Time Flies!!!

Brand new Baby Jace. Only minutes old!

Jace is now 3 months and 5 days old!! Time goes so fast! Today we have him all dressed in his Christmas jammies ready to decorate for Christmas! He is the sweetest baby ever and I'm totally in love with him! I do miss being pregnant because I got a lot more sleep but I SO love having him here!!

The best thing about a new baby: To know that you created this life and it loves you back when you look at it!

The hardest thing about a new baby: Besides the lack of sleep the thought that you are responsible for this baby growing up to be a contributing member of society.

The best product I have used: Kiddopotomus baby wrap. Couldn't get him to sleep without it!!

Favorite part of the day: Bedtime. Not because I'm getting a break. I actually miss him while he sleeps but because we have a very special bedtime routine he responds very well to and it is very much bonding time as well!

Cutest thing he does at this age: He is beginning to be very purposeful in his playing. When he wants to hit something he thinks about it and does it. You can the whole thinking process in his eyes. He also smiles back and laughs when you tickle him.

What am I looking forward to in the next month: I am looking forward to him getting stronger and even more alert as he discovers the world around him!

Jace's Take Home Outfit

I haven't been super sentimental about stuff but Jace's outfit to go home from the hospital was important to me.  This weekend we found the cutest outfit and matching shoes.  I would never buy a newborn shoes except for this occasion.  Plus Matt really wanted them!  

Also this weekend I quit my job!  VERY nerve wrecking but I do think it is the best choice for our family right now.

Tomorrow we will be 23 weeks starting on the 24th week!  17 weeks to go!!  I booked a plane ticket home for June and can't wait to see my family!!  Baby Jace should be big enough for everyone to feel him and they can't wait to feel him!  Poor Matt!  He is dying to feel Jace kick but my placenta is attached in the front so it is cushioning all his kicks right now.  

So far I have only gained 8 pounds.  Got to keep it off!!  I was tiny when I started so I got to be careful now!!

Introducing Jace Matthew Stennett

We found out last Friday we are having a baby boy!  We are so excited!  I never thought I would be a good mom for a boy but instinctually I am so ready and pumped.  He is in the 60th percentile!  

The nurse said she was glad we wanted to know the sex because there was no way she could have hidden his sex!  Needless to say, Dad was very proud!  

Jace was not very cooperative when she wanted him to look at her.  She had me flipping all over to get him to turn.  He finally did really quick.  She snapped the picture and he totally flipped over so she would leave him alone!

We are so proud of our baby boy and can't wait to meet him!

Baby excitement!!

We are 20 weeks done on Monday.  We are so excited for next Friday.  That's when we find out what we are having, well, we know it's a human but we'll find out which sex.  I finally decided to take my first pregnancy picture today.  I've been feeling the baby kicking me a lot more lately.  His/Her kicks are getting stronger each week.  Sometimes it feels like he/she's doing head dives into the bottom of my uterus!  Things are going very well.  We'll update things this Friday!

Our First Doctor's Visit!

Today we had our first doctor's visit.  All the fun of being poked and prodded! I'm glad it's over!  I am very healthy and so is the baby.  Our due date was changed from the 19th to the 17th which makes the baby 10 weeks old exactly today.  My arm is killing me where they took four vials of blood.  Our next visit is February 20th.

I think my brain is already going.  I thought my appointment was at 9:30 and after I got there they told me my appointment was at 9:00!! They still got me in.  We went to see Doctor Morell.  He is fabulous!!  We are so happy he was referred to us!

Everything seems to finally be coming together for us finally! It only took a year and a half.  The house should be gone by the fall as we are getting ready to short-sale it and we are hoping to move in the next month.  I am very much looking forward to the end of March when I can simply focus on my pregnancy (even if it spent hugging the toilet!).  

Introducing....

Here is Baby Stennett!!  His heartbeat is 176 beats a minute.  He is very active.  I keep calling it a "he" but we don't know what it is yet.  The baby is extremely funny.  He was jumping all over the place when the lady was doing the ultrasound.  The baby is due August 19th.  We are so excited!  He is 9 weeks and 1 day old.

We have another appointment this Monday for the doctor's visit.  That's all for now.
